Genuine Porsche water pump service kit with thermostat and gaskets. A common replacement part on all the water-cooled Mezger powered Porsche cars, such as the 997 911 Turbo*, GT2 and GT3. Most customers see around 60,000 miles of service before needing replacement, although your mileage and results may vary. It is not uncommon to begin seeing signs at the 40,000 mile mark.
Common signs of a failing water pump include coolant leaks and odor, squeaking or similar noises. Full failure can throw off or damage the accessory drive belt, and related overheating issues can result in severe engine damage. There is typically a very fast progression from minor to major failure, so we typically recommend replacing every 60k regardless of condition as a preventative measure.
We always recommend replacing the thermostat when replacing the water pump. It's cheap insurance and goes a long way to ensure proper cooling performance on your Porsche.

Our deluxe kit (recommended) includes two gallons of . This concentrated solution should be mixed to 50/50 with water and should provide enough for you to service and refill the system when performing the waterpump and thermostat replacement. If you are doing additional coolant system service, such as radiator replacement, we typically recommend an additional gallon to keep in reserve in case it is needed.
